We have a growing line of locomotive based model kits that are designed with a combination of digital photo-graphs, field measurements and accurate documentation provided by the suppliers and users of the prototype equipment. <hr> *Prototype Correct - Modular Locomotive Kits (Update)*. The design work for the initial release of our locomotive model kits includes the SD40-2W built for the Canadian National railway. Our SD40-2W kit will complete any phase of this locomotive group. The sample screen shots are from the first phase which consisted of unit numbers 5241 - 5261. A bit more work is left to wrap up the design work however as you can see we're making huge progress. We also have been working on the GP38-2W and GP40-2W(L) series with the intention of releasing all three groups at the same time as the SD40-2W based kits. Hood Module replicas in the initial injection mould tooling will cover the GP38-2, GP40, GP40-2, SD38-2, and SD40-2. The quick release of a Spartan Cab based product line will ensure additional complete modular locomotive kits for other railways. The drive and electronic testing is complete. We are ready to begin prototyping the truck gear boxes which will complete the power train for both GP and SD based locomotives. The Blomberg based truck will include components to model the "B" and "M" variation. Optional variations in this truck's journals will include three types seen throughout production. The HTC truck kit will include Hyatt, Exposed Bearing, and Triple Clasp options. The bolster for each truck kit will be interchangeable to enable modification of other non-scale locomotives. Our truck is P87 compatible, however two variations of wheel sets will be available to enable standard operations as well.
